MOUNTAIN VIEW HOLIDAY RETREAT, Harrietville

Mountain View Holiday Retreat provides motel-style rooms that accommodate from one to 110 guests. There are 20 private en-suite rooms with queen, twin, family suites, and share room combinations for 4 to 10 people. Two large dorm-style units are available, and male/female separation is possible. Motel guests have access to microwaves, a fridge/freezer, a sink, a toaster, and tea/coffee-making facilities in the communal area. Each room has a TV/DVD with a USB point. Unit 1 (Bonacord) sleeps up to 63 people over 8 rooms, while Unit 2 (Razorback) sleeps up to 48 people over 12 rooms. Both units have relaxing lounge areas and tea/coffee-making facilities. Unit 1 features a complete kitchen that caters for up to 30 people, while Unit 2 includes a kitchenette with a kettle, a toaster, a microwave, and a fridge/freezer. Ski drying rooms are available.

The property offers a dining room where guests can enjoy home-style meals. Continental breakfasts and three-course dinners are served in the log cabin restaurant and bar. Catering is available for groups upon request, including options for specific dietary needs. A coffee van-affectionately known as Dolly-is open from 6:30 AM, offering coffee, muffins, slices, and sausage rolls. Groups also have access to kitchen facilities for self-catering. The Bonacord Unit has a full self-catering kitchen.

Guests can participate in activities such as: adventure course, volleyball, and raft building. A recreation hall, equipment hire and program development are available. On-site facilities include an eight-person spa, laundry facilities, and garden areas. There is plenty of open space for activities and rambles like basketball, football, and cricket. Night-time activities include sunset bonfires, camp cooking, and outdoor cinema.

Mountain View Holiday Retreat is located in Harrietville, North East Victoria, at the base of Mt Hotham Alpine Resort. Mount Hotham is 55 km away. The property is near Bright, Wandiligong, Mt Buffalo and Falls Creek. Harrietville is 3.5 hours from Melbourne and 2 hours from Albury. Tronoh Dredge Hole is 1 km away, and Mountain Fresh Trout and Salmon Farm is 4 km away.

All programmed activities undergo thorough risk assessments available for download. A flat sheet and towel are required for each room or person, but all other linen, including the doona, is provided.
